On this episode of the Project Upland Podcast, I’m joined by Gregg Elliot of dogsanddoubles.com.
Gregg and I talk about his 2018 upland bird hunting season, good deals in the gun market and how to buy your first vintage side-by-side.
During our conversation Gregg and I start with a recap of his 2018 upland bird hunting season. We also talk about some recent guns Gregg has seen listed for sale as well as the usual bird dogs, shotguns and upland birds chatter. We later discuss the similarities and differences of side-by-side shotguns as well as things to pay attention to when buying your first vintage gun.

From the website: “I’m an avid bird hunter and gun collector. I also spend a lot of time outdoors fly fishing and canoeing, and my latest hobby is learning how to play guitar. I grew up hunting ruffed grouse and woodcock in Berlin, N.H., a town in the northernmost part of the state. Today, I live in the Northeast and I hunt in Maine and New Hampshire. I also make it out to Montana, South Dakota, and Wisconsin whenever I can.”
