Take The 2025 North American Upland Bird Hunting Survey

A German Shorthaired Pointer stands in front of an upland bird hunter in a grassy field.

The most comprehensive ongoing research in the upland hunting community.

Welcome to the annual North American Upland Hunting Survey*. First launched in 2018, this unique look into upland culture has helped track how our community continues to grow and change. Each year, we invite our readers, listeners, and fellow hunters to share who they are, how they hunt, and what they care about most.

Whether you’re new to the uplands or have been walking behind a bird dog for decades, your voice adds vital perspective to the story we’re telling together.

After completing the survey, you’ll be entered to win the prizes listed below.

Survey opens Friday, March 28, 2025 at 6:00AM EDT and ends Friday, April 11, 2025 at 11:59PM EDT.

*We do not sell or share the responses, personal data, email addresses, or any other information gathered from this survey.

What Kinds Of Survey Questions Will There Be?

In this year’s survey, you’ll be asked about your demographics, background, media consumption preferences, hunting habits, conservation values, and the relationship with your bird dogs.

Your feedback helps us tell deeper stories, shape conservation and ethics conversations, understand shifts in hunting culture, and improve our small business.
