#36 | A Voice For Pheasants, Quail and Upland Hunting, Bob St. Pierre of Pheasants and Quail Forever
Nick Larson is the host and creator of the Project…
On this episode of the Project Upland Podcast, I am joined by Bob St. Pierre, Vice President of Marketing and Communications for Pheasants and Quail Forever. Bob joins the podcast to talk about his love for upland bird hunting and his passion for exploring and conserving wild places.
Our conversation on Bob’s upland story includes where it all began in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. We talk about how he wound up working in marketing and communications, eventually working for Pheasants Forever, and now, Quail Forever. Bob shares how he hunts upland birds as often as he can, chasing his tandem of German Shorthaired Pointers through the woods across the upper Midwest and beyond. We also discuss Bob’s side gig as co-host of Twin Cities based outdoors radio show, Fan Outdoors. Along with The Captain, Billy Hildebrand, the two share their adventures, passion and love for the outdoors Saturday mornings on KFAN-Minneapolis Radio (check out the podcast here).

Nick Larson is the host and creator of the Project Upland Podcast. He and his family, which includes a pair of English setters, reside in Duluth, Minnesota. Naturally, his favorite pursuit is upland bird hunting. From the northern forests of the upper great lakes to the prairies of the west, he chases adventure across the uplands wherever his bird dogs and the people he meets inspire him to go.
Having hunted with Bob (a fellow Yooper), I really enjoyed the conversation. Nicely done.
