Edgar Castillo was born in Central America in the country of Guatemala. After moving to the United States with his family as a young boy, he eventually found his way into the world of upland bird hunting. Edgar’s passion for upland bird hunting has since blossomed into a significant social media presence that allows him to share his experiences and connect with other hunters. Like so many of today’s upland bird hunters, Edgar has found community and camaraderie via social media and the cloud-based hunting camp that it has become in the world of upland hunting.
In this episode of the Project Upland Podcast, we dive into Edgar’s upland hunting story. Edgar shares how his family led him into hunting and how his passion developed over time. We transition into talking about some of Edgar’s more recent pursuits as well as how he plans his hunts. Edgar explains how he and a group of friends have begun planning annual hunting trips together. They meet regularly and pore over maps and travel itineraries to plan epic upland trips.
