Talking public lands, upland birds and Backcountry Hunters and Anglers.
In our second of two podcasts recorded while at Pheasant Fest in Minneapolis, we sat down with Jason Meekhof, Matthew Lee and Mike Neiduski. All representatives of Backcountry Hunters and Anglers (BHA) in one way or another. Our conversation focused heavily on public lands, the mission of BHA and upland hunting as the passion that brings us all together.
Jason Meekhof is the Upper Great Lakes Chapter Coordinator for BHA. Jason was a founding member of the Michigan chapter and was its first chairperson. As chair Jason quickly developed a love for being more involved in conservation and protecting our public lands and waters.
Mike Neiduski is a board member at large for the North Carolina chapter of BHA as well as a NAVHDA judge. He was the featured guest on episode #52 of the Project Upland Podcast. Mike was at Pheasant Fest staffing the NAVHDA booth and supporting the R3 efforts of the organization.
Matt Lee is the vice chair and social media coordinator for the Minnesota chapter of BHA. Born in Iowa, Matt was exposed to upland bird hunting as a kid which he details during our conversation. He eventually made his way to Minnesota where he now resides and is an advocate for our public lands, waters and outdoor opportunities.
