Talking southeastern grouse hunting and Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation.
John Culclasure is the southeastern states assistant director for Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation (CSF). He’s also an upland bird hunter, a setter guy and holds degrees in law and forestry. Naturally, John found his way into a position that allows him to draw on his education and his passion for upland hunting. He has a unique perspective that transcends the divide between upland hunting and politics.
Our conversation covers John’s intro to upland hunting and bird dogs as well as grouse hunting in the southeast. We discuss hunting and habitat in the grouse woods as well as what apps we like to use while hunting and scouting. Later we dive into CSF, the work they do as well as some issues our listeners should be aware of.
Tune in to this episode of the Project Upland Podcast to learn more about CSF and their mission to protect and advance hunting.
