The month of April would have kicked off the encore of #PublicGrouse film tour in collaboration with Backcountry Hunters and Anglers (BHA) and presented by onX Hunt in association with Eukanuba Sporting Dog. As you know, the world had other plans and all of our lives have been altered during the COVID-19 pandemic. As a media house the only real service we can continue to provide is a distraction to the often harsh realities we are facing each and every day.

Our original plan was to launch the #PublicGrouse film on a streaming service to which you may have already been subscribed later this year. Due to current circumstances and outspoken demand from the community our timeline has shifted and our plans have changed.

BHA and Project Upland have decided to move forward with a limited 7-day Vimeo OnDemand screening of #PublicGrouse broken into seven separate 24-hour events. These events will be complimented with social media live events, giveaways and promotional opportunities for BHA memberships.

Eukanuba Sporting Dog, Backcountry Hunters & Anglers, and the Fight for Sage Grouse

Eukanuba Sporting Dog has pledged a $1 match for every $1 in ticket sales for the #PublicGrouse Virtual Film Tour up to $5000 to fight for the future of sage grouse on our public lands with BHA. This initiative is imperative for protecting the ability of current and future sage grouse hunting opportunities.

Free Digital Issue of Project Upland Magazine – Spring 2020 #PublicGrouse

Project Upland has also decided to move forward with a free digital release of the Spring 2020 #PublicGrouse issue of our magazine. This issue compliments the #PublicGrouse film and adds further depth and character to the stories featured in the film.

For what it’s worth, we hope that #PublicGrouse offers a brief but valued distraction during these uncertain times. We hope to inspire daydreams of fall and offer something reminiscent of better and simpler times. We can almost feel the warm sun on our faces as we traverse the sage steppe immersed in the sound of insects, brushed by an autumn breeze and lured deeper into the cover by the faint sound of a bell–anything that resembles what we hope the future holds in the uplands.

We are thinking, we are praying, we are hoping for all of us to emerge from this crisis stronger, together.
